Chirurgien orthopédiste du pied et de la cheville basé à Bruxelles. Actuellement chef de service associé en chirurgie orthopédique au CHU Brugmann et consultant en chirurgie du pied et de la cheville à l’Hôpital Erasme. Expérience préalable au Luxembourg et au Portugal, dans les secteurs public et privé, notamment auprès du sport de haut niveau.

Titulaire d’un doctorat en bioingénierie (cum laude) de l’Instituto Superior Técnico (Université de Lisbonne), le parcours s’inscrit à l’interface entre l’orthopédie et l’ingénierie. Les domaines d’intérêt incluent la chirurgie mini-invasive, la médecine du sport, la modélisation numérique, l’impression 3D, ainsi que l’intégration responsable de l’intelligence artificielle (IA) dans les soins musculosquelettiques. Auteur de plus de 30 publications évaluées par des pairs et contributeur à des ouvrages de référence en chirurgie orthopédique et traumatologie du sport.

Ancien médecin de l’équipe U19 du Sport Lisboa e Benfica, avec une expérience de coordination de projets de recherche et de collaboration au développement de dossiers médicaux électroniques sur mesure, visant à améliorer l’alignement entre pratiques cliniques et qualité des données.

Intérêt particulier pour les technologies médicales appliquées à la santé musculosquelettique et à la santé numérique, avec un accent sur la validation clinique, l’intégration dans les pratiques médicales et l’usage éthique des données et de l’IA.
